Enlightenment by Design is a family-run lighting business in Old Amersham, Buckinghamshire, in the lovely Chiltern Hills. We have been retailing and importing lighting from Europe for over eight years and have built up a wide network of the best lighting suppliers.

Our showroom in Old Amersham displays many of the ceiling lights, wall lights, outside lights and bathroom lights which you can see on our website. However, we also display many more light fittings, table lamps and floorstands and there is a great deal of reference material available including brochures from our main suppliers showing their full ranges.

While we display only a small sample of what the manufacturers can offer, we can provide everything from their catalogues. For example, if you have been on the Fabbian website (www.Fabbian.com) and have seen something you like but it's not displayed on our website, just telephone or email to get further details. We can also often get specials made: different finishes, different glass and complimentary products.

On of our most popular services in the shop is our lampshade-making service.  These can be either hard shades or soft shades.  You can choose from a wide selection of materials, colours and shapes.  You can even provide your own material (although we shall have to check if it is suitable).   For hard shades, you can even provide your own wallpaper or digital image which can be turned into a lampshade!

Commercial enquiries are also welcome and larger quantities can be supplied. The Terms and Conditions of supply are different from those for domestic customers. Contractors, architects, surveyors, interior designers and wholesalers must prove their status and be VAT registered.
